Objectives of service design
Main purpose of service design is to design a service that can be introduced in production environment and users can take its service. Design of services includes its architecture, policies, framework, service level management etc. which can meet present and future business requirements.
Service design covers complete life cycle of service, be it existing, new or retired, service management tools, various processes required in service management etc.

Service design goals
Service design goals are to design services as per business objective and service strategy defined in prior phase. In addition to that it includes efficient design process, risk management, measurement methods etc.
